The MSSS (Quebec Provincial Health and Social Services) just launched a new campaign vaunting the use of the HPV vaccine. To achieve this goal, it is drawing a comparison of the advantages, risks and inconveniences of the use of the vaccine to those of a chastity belt. Somewhat entertaining, however quite ridiculous, this campaign misses the point and fails to transmit the important message to our youth as well as their parents. What are the facts?

A new kind of website has hit the web recently. Sites such as Sugar Daddies and Sugar Babies. The principle is simple, older aged, wealthy, men (or women) register providing information on their financials as well as the amount they are willing to offer as a monthly “allowance” to their Sugar Baby. On the other hand, young, and attractive woman (and men) register for free and determine what they are looking for as an allowance in order to develop a “relationship”. Although the founder of Seekingarrangement.com and its members say it’s all the contrary, these arrangements look far closer to a form of prostitution than dating to many. As American law establishes prostitution as being a transaction directly involving money in exchange for sex, these sites are walking the fine line!

I told her I had a theory and I wanted to see if I was right about something, so she agreed. We met for lunch after she went to see the movie. I asked her if she was turned on by any of the scenes in the movie. Her face turned red and she said, “I have no idea why, but yes, I was turned on by them.” This isn’t the first time I’ve heard a woman say that after having seen the movie. I think I know why women are finding the sexual scenes in Brokeback Mountain so arousing, but before I explain, let me digress just a little.
